Who are you - Elephant or Monkey ?

This story is all about five monkeys. A group of scientists placed 5 monkeys in a cage. They have also put a ladder with bananas on the top, in the middle of the cage. Every monkey want to eat the banana and so try to go up in the ladder. But as soon as any monkey went up the ladder, the scientists soaked the rest of the monkeys with cold water.
All monkey noticed this and then decided that no one will try to go up in the ladder as other has to suffer because of one and so afterwards if any monkey try to go up the ladder, the other monkeys beat that monkey who is on the ladder. And so after some time, no monkey dares to go up the ladder regardless of the temptation.

Scientists then decided to substitute one of the monkeys.  The 1st thing this new monkey did was to go up the ladder.  Immediately the other monkeys beat him up. After several beatings, the new member learned not to climb the ladder even though never knew why.

Scientists then substituted another old monkey with new monkey. This monkey also do the same thing i.e to go up the ladder. But other monkey start to beat them. The most strange part was that the 1st new monkey also participated on the beating for the 2nd new monkey even though it does not know the reason.

A 3rd monkey was changed and the same was repeated (beating).  The 4th was substituted and the beating was repeated and finally the 5th monkey was replaced. What was left was a group of 5 monkeys that even though never received a cold shower, continued to beat up any monkey who attempted to climb the ladder. If it was possible to ask the monkeys why they would beat up all those who attempted to go up the ladder  I bet you the answer would be….

“I don’t know why but that’s how things are done around here”

Does it sound familiar? Then let’s go through an another story

Elephants are the largest living land mammals. It can be weighed up to 13 tons. At birth, an elephant calf may weigh 100 kg. And yet we see a giant elephant in an indoor area tied to a little wooden stake. Many elephants do heavy work like lifting trees and moving logs with its trunk, yet it calmly stays tied. Why?

Mental Chain! The truth is – when that elephant was a baby, and not very strong, it was tied by a huge chain to an iron stake that count not be moved by the baby elephant. No matter how hard it tried, it could not break the chain and run free. After a while the baby elephant just gave up. It never attempted to break free when it grew up. The imprint was permanent.

There are many people who behave like the elephant. They have been told “You will never make it,” so many times that they’ve begun to believe it. They may have dreams but the “imprinting” keeps pulling them back. Same imprint make them to do say, “I don’t know why but that’s how things are done around here” And so another elephant come into picture and this viscous circle continues.

In reality also, there are examples where you will find yourself as Elephant who do not want to break the Mental Chain or the Monkey who is becoming Elephant. Here, Elephant are those who have some bad experience which make them to do the task as it was doing traditionally without any change and Monkeys are those young generation who have new ideas & thoughts but are suppressed by the Elephant by giving the same old answer “I don’t know why but that’s how things are done around here” and you have to follow it.

I request all Elephants to help Monkeys to remain Monkey so that they implement their ideas and thoughts so that some chain is broken and life become easy. I also urge all Monkeys that Elephant have a vast experience. They have not readily accepted the things. They have tried but not succeeded. You are suppose to listen their experience carefully why they are prohibiting you to do the task in different way and if you can find some alternative by means of new technology or idea which make the work more efficiently. Make them understand in nice manner.

Trust my words, if there is fusion of experience of Elephant and ideas of Monkey, Our India will Rock !

Who are we Human or ……..?

When I was child, I used to play football with my street friends. Sometime we have game with other street guys and you will not trust. These games are played with less of game spirit and more with the felling to downgrade other team with hook or crook. The same feeling persist on both side.

Here I am identified as STREET 4 PLAYER
.
When I completed my school days; my parents decided me to send me to Ranchi – another city of Jharkhand for higher study. I have seen another scene here. Now all the boys and girls who are from Bokaro Steel City has formed group irrespective of all the fights which we have done in football grounds :). This is very true that it is one of the best friendships when enemy become friends. But we get another chunk of competitor – now we have to compete with those candidates who are from other city of Jharkhand & Bihar.

Here I am identified as BOKARO STEEL BOY.

After that I move further to Delhi for my Post Graduation. Here I got a new identity -- Jharkhand Boy. Now we have new group which includes my competitor also but we get no respect from Delhi ties. Now we so called Biharis (a slung in Delhi to represent those people who do not know how to live) become a great enemy from Delhities.

Thanks Delhi for giving me a new identity so called BIHARI (Brilliant, Intelligent, Hard Worker, All Rounder)

I though this is end of fight and we can never become friend of Delhi ties. I move to new destination so called Kumbakonam, Tamilnadu with the same thinking. But, Oh My God! Opposite to all my thought , here I make new friend which includes not only Delhi ties but also Marathis, Assames, Rajasthani and many more. And also similar to all the above case, I got an identity of North India who gets a racism from South India.

New Identity of NORTH INDIAN BOY

The main reason to let you all these for scenario is that I am not able to understand whether I am changing or people who is nearby me is changing. I am not able to understand why people fight each other.

Why do people of different state like Kerala with Tamilnadu, Bihar with Delhi fight with each other?
Why are there many myths between amongst North Indian and South Indian?
Why is there racism in Australia, USA against India?
Why do people become enemy of each other?
Why                                                    Why                                                    Why ?
Who are we Human or ……..?
